IMPORTANT CHANGES to pre 1890 Certificates as at October 2005
Please be advised that Queensland State Archives are no longer responsible for issuing Birth, Death or Marriage certificates for Queensland before 1890.
ALL Applications must be through the Registar-General’s Office, and there is no longer any concession given for providing the reference numbers. Costs are now the same as any other certificate for events occurring after 1890.
These new certificates will look different to how Queensland State Archives have displayed them in the past. Certificates will now appear on A4 size page, with the details split into two parts. Any marginal notes will now appear on the back of the document.
